🐾 Raising Puppies

Raising puppies is a joyful part of our family life. From their first days, they’re surrounded by gentle handling, and the everyday sounds of life in our home. We focus on creating confident, well‑adjusted puppies through simple, consistent experiences that help them feel safe and curious in the world.

From day one, our puppies rest in a warm, clean, and carefully monitored environment. We track their feeding and keep their indoor den fresh and tidy each day. From birth through their first two months, we also provide Early Neurological Stimulation to support healthy development and confidence.

What is ENS and why do we do it?

  • Early Neurological Stimulation Therapy

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) is a set of exercises we commence daily with our puppies from 3-16 days of age, a period believed to be the time for rapid neurological growth and development. Even though puppies are very immature during this time frame, they are sensitive and respond to ENS.

    Benefits include:

    • Improved cardiovascular performance (heart rate)

    • Stronger heart beats

    • Stronger Adrenal Glands

    • More tolerance to stress

    • Greater resistance to disease

Early Socialization

  • Daily handling with calm, steady touch

  • Exposure to household sounds, outdoor spaces, and new textures

  • Time with children, adults, and other animals in a controlled, gentle way

Building Confidence

  • Short car rides

  • Outdoor play in different areas of the homestead

  • Introduction to new sights, smells, and experiences at an easy pace

Healthy Foundations

We help families conquer the hard and early puppy training months by extending our puppies stay with a Healthy Foundations Training program. This program is an optional add on $725 a week for training, room and board.

  • A clean, enriched environment

  • Young puppy basic training

  • Age‑appropriate play and rest

  • Early crate comfort and nighttime routine support, potty training and sleeping through the night

  • Intro Training into Walking with a Leash and Settling down by handlers’ feet

  • Vocabulary Words learned from a young age

Vocabulary

Dogs learn up to 250 words in their lifetime. We highlight our early start dog training programs by teaching our 2–6-month-old puppies new vocabulary words each week, starting from a very young age. We will walk through our program with you to help puppies advance through their early days of learning

For example:

  • “potty” said upon actions of going potty

  • “sit” learned when they actively sit (not prior or after)

  • stay and settle, good, calm, sweet, belly rub, handshake

  • bathtime and grooming words

  • “outside” and “inside” said upon actions of walking through doors

  • treat, yes, no, good morning and goodnight, lights out, etc.

  • Learning placement settings and letting dogs walk pass safely by saying “permission” and “playtime”

Choosing Your Puppy’s Name

One of our greatest joys is hearing the names families choose for their puppies. Until then, we use only soft terms of endearment with our young pups — “hello puppies,” ‘hey cutie, “good boy,” and “good girl.”

If your puppy is going through our Healthy Foundations program, we’ll have a phone or video call for puppy matching and name choice. If you’ve already chosen a name, we’ll begin using it right away.

A Calm Start

Our goal is to raise puppies who feel secure, loved, and ready to join their new families with confidence. We welcome you to meet the parents, and we are dedicated to finding the best homes for these cuties.

Veterinary Care

Each puppy receives a full vet check and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and deworming. We work closely with our veterinarian to ensure every puppy is healthy, growing well, and ready for their next chapter. They’ll go home with a clear health record and the steady foundation built on our homestead.
